currently delivery time of sedan

hi @all,

Does anyone know, which is the estimated delivery time of a new sedan currently?

I have ordered at the mid of September and my dealer informed that we are waiting it somewhere between February-March 2022.

Hi George, do remember this TOC is UK based, and UK car buyers don’t go too much for the Camry, never have I don’t think. Apart from that the supply via Toyota UK may well be different to your country, wherever that is.

Suspect OP is enquiring about Corolla Saloon, latest UK guide suggests all available build slots for Saloon are allocated for 2021 so current orders will be allocated in January 2022 for February - March 2022 delivery

I though that the supply is the same for every country, i mean that if i order a car from Greece or from UK at the same time and there is no stock in either countries, then the two cars will be manufactured the same day as they are produced at the plant at Turkey

In the UK, at least, I suspect that the majority of Corollas are built at Burnaston, in the UK. Other EU deliveries I would guess "it depends", I don't think it's ever clearcut. Is your car showing in MyT / My Toyota on your country's website ? (Greece, I am guessing ?)

You are right George. First of all even though you clearly said Corolla, my mind changed that to Camry.

And as you have ordered a Sedan (or saloon as it is called in the UK), Turkey is the plant that both your country, Greece, and the UK sedans are made.

So, Devon Aygo is likely to be right as he works for a Toyota dealer here in the UK.  Do remember there is a worldwide shortage of chips which is slowing production lines down (for all manufacturers).  I am sure the wait will be worthwhile but frustrating.

I have ordered on 13th September and at that time the deliverydate was February 22, and after a month the date changes to the end of March 22. 

I have read, what @Devon Aygo has said. I hope that if the car is scheduled to be manufactured at January, then i will have it somewhere between February-March.

 

I have one more question, when i booked the car, i had ordered the MY21 model, and according to another thread there will be some new features at the model MY22 but at higher grade cars. From what i have undrestood, i will not get any of the new items, but i would like to know if the smart connect features are only available to the icon tech models and above only grades. Because it has some nice adds and i suppose that they dont want the same carmodel to use different head units (the screen, rides etc i can undertand the marketing policy)
