Hi everyone,

I've just fitted my ST185 with a Baileys DV26 and am quite disappointed with the noise. It's more of a 'pishhh' than the 'whoosh' i was expecting. I am planning on fitting a boost gauge tonight and a manual boost controller this weekend. If i turn the boost up to around 12 psi should this give a more respectable whoosh?

Also, i heard that some people needed to trim their intercooler to get more airflow to the valve. Could this be contributing to the poor sound too?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Dave.

Sounds great *cough*

Well the DV is giving me a high enough pitch at the minute thanks.

From your pic chocka, looks like you've had it lowered as well as 17" rims. How low'd you go? 40mm? Any arch rubbing?

uping the boost does make the BOV louder .. but I think it's why most people go Jap for their BOV's as they are usually loud as ..
