were they the gas ones like mine u had fitted?

what diffrence did you get when they were on?

Im running standard shocks, and they feel just as good as the Koni's or the KYBS gas shocks I've been in :S

But then again my car is a glanza, so they be some sort of dif between my shocks and the SRs.

your shocks new lowered your car?

Posted

would it make any difference if i just replaced the rear shocks and not the front and did the front at a later date??

Anyone know if Spax do shock for the gen 2 Paseo?

Does it matter if you mix shocks and springs?

Posted

as long as your shocks are the same on each side of the axle, i wouldnt have thought it would matter if they are different front or rear. i have these KYB gas shocks at the rear and stock toyota ones up front and i noticed a big difference, espicially motorway driving at high speeds, a lot less twitchiness.

But i have seen adjustable shocks for the 'seo in america, but not sure if there spax though.

It doesn't matter if you mix. as he said, once their on the same side of each axle.

I couldnt find any spax shocks for mine, im pretty sure they dont do them, but you could try ringing them...

well my shocks are on and oh what a diffrence it has made, feels much better going round those corners now!

These shocks won't lower the car mate, effectively they just handle the damping effect

Daz, what was the probabem you had with ur KYBs a while back?

Posted

im almost certain those are the same as what have here in the US. KYB GR-2's. 54$x2 for the front, and 33$x2 for the rear. USD$

nice find...if you guys are set on performance look into the KYB Gear Climb struts. they have them a set specially made for starlets. i got em on my corsa(tercel). They are excellent. i have been through 3 different suspension setups and these are by far the best i've had. I got them used from japan and they outperform my kyb GR-2's when i bought them new.
