Anyone else experienced water pooling on the parcel hatch cover (rain likely culprit)? The water is there before I open the tailgate so unlikely to be water not draining out of the tailgate.  There is moisture around the right hand rubber boot and the headlining fixing clip is where the water is dripping onto the cover.  I'll be getting it booked in for investigation in the next week or two, I don't like the idea that the water may be 'running' elsewhere under the headlining.

Sorry to see that. Do you think it's rainwater entering around the grommet or could it actually be a blocked drain in the tailgate? I'm thinking that any water gathering in the tailgate would be able to drain into the roof via the wiring boot while it's raised, leaving an unpleasant surprise later on after having time to work it's way through?

Other thought is that the moisture on the outside could be a red herring and the actual ingress coming from the shark fin. Time for some experiments with the hosepipe! 😔

It's booked in for investigation on the 14th (with courtesy car).  The tailgate does not need to be raised for the puddle to appear.  We've had a lot of rain recently so could be running down to the grommet and getting in that way (screen wash appears to be the left hand boot) or maybe the shark fin but that feels solid.

Update.

They did the water test today and identified the right hand grommet as the culprit.  It's been resealed and retested and appears fine now, just need to keep an eye on it.

Whilst it was in I mentioned the discolouration of the rubber window trim i.e. turning grey, they've taken photographs and sent the details on to Toyota.  They did say they had a car in a couple of weeks ago with the same trim issue.

I feel confident it was investigated thoroughly and should be sorted.  I completed the online form Stoneacre uses that lets you detail exactly what the issue is prior to dropping your car off (as opposed to just speaking to a service advisor who usually works from a menu but may know nothing about cars).  I also had the conversation directly with the technician after the fix who confirmed where he had looked, what tests he had done, and what the outcome was including the remedy applied.  He confirmed the shark fin, under the headlining, was completely dry and that there was no water damage to the headlining around the grommet/boot where the leak was originating.

Looks like that was easy fix in the end. I had a leak in my Avenis boot some years ago and it was due to a leak in the rear screen. Turned out to be a big job under warranty. You got lucky.
