Yeah that's been a sore point for a lot of RAV4 buyers

Really unfair, but hopefully the fuel you'll save vs your previous car will off-set it!!

So between ordering my 2WD Excel and it being delivered (10 Months) it is now over over the £40K Car Tax Threshold.  I am told the value for tax is determined at the date of registration, price I bought at was £35450, not best pleased as one of the reasons I agreed to the update was I was assured that the car tax would be below the £40K

Already been comprehensively covered earlier in this topic. Quite a few members were caught out by this.

The extra payment eligibility is determined when the car is first registered, regardless of the vehicle's price when first ordered. Payable for 5 years from the second year of ownership.

okay so I watched a video of people rolling some marbles down some plywood contours, well routed as they were I'm not quite getting the relevance to anything else. Certainly that was a masterclass in knowing where you're marbles are.

It is an accurate depiction of my mental state.

That routing is pretty sweet tho!

Losing your marbles is not so bad, it's the not being able to find them again that is so worrying.

Originally ordered excel hybrid awd on March 2022. Originally scheduled for Oct 2022 delivery. Have just been informed its now June 2023. That seems excessive. Ordered through a work scheme company car thing. Help me lol

Unfortunatley, sounds realistic with the current factory line changeovers and production backlogs on other models...

So far so good

I'm driving it to Germany tomorrow so that will be a decent road test for it!

Hope it came with a fully charged battery!

Mine didn't but hopefully with the requirements of the bZ4x just around the corner Toyota will have upped their game and got the dealers to install decent chargers in the workshops.

We can only hope that if that is the case they do not opt for BG to be the installers of choice. 😇

There seems to be a trend on this forum too that many orders made early this year with RAV4's have been delayed for 6...8 months already. Hope not more than that.

That news reflects Toyota's November Production Plan update - RAV4 (HEV) production at Takaoka is again suspended for the first week of November (PHEV production is unaffected).

I still find it amazing that Toyota can predict the exact day, in advance, that a certain production line will shut down!

Interesting that the Motomachi Plant is in full swing....

I think that bit is pretty simple - they just tell the relevant workers not to come in ...

Ordered my PHEV Dynamic in May and had an email today to say it’s been delayed to March/April but will be the MY2023 version - so good news and bad! Hoping they deliver it slightly earlier as reading through it seems the PHEVs are coming through faster

This was what my dealer told me when I ordered my PHEV (it took 7 & half months).

I may be wrong but I suspect the PHEV allows Toyota to hit manufacturers EU emission targets

I saw my dealer today and was ushered into the manager's office.  It turns out that the Dynamic Premium grade, that I have had on order since February, is no longer available and my order is due to be built as a Dynamic with a panoramic roof.  Being that they have already told me that I can't have the colour that I ordered, I'm not very happy.  In addition, it is now unlikely to turn up until at least July 2023.

I've asked about changing the grade to the new GR Sport, as that seems to have a higher spec and be available in a red similar to that which I originally ordered.  In fairness to the dealer, they are being as helpful as they can and will try to accommodate my change of spec.  However, the GR Sport is not available for dealer orders as yet, so it is uncertain as to whether this will be possible.  It is, of course, anyone's guess as to what price I may have to pay for it...

Mark, sounds like GR Sport is effectively the future Dynamic Premium so I hope you manage to get that spec.
