Auris Reverse BEEP BEEP BEEP (hybrid)

Since buying my 2016 Auris Excel hybrid in April of this year, there’s been one thing that’s annoyed me as an owner, and it’s been every single morning when I reverse off my drive: the loud internal BEEP BEEP BEEP sound when I put the car into reverse. 😡Totally unnecessary as there is a massive orange R lit up on the dashboard confirming the car’s in reverse, and the reversing camera is on and showing a live feed from behind. I find the beeping so loud it actually drowns out the sound of the front and rear parking sensors, which is crazy!! 🤔
So, it’s been in for its 20,000 mile service to Inchcape Toyota Nottingham today (thanks guys for doing a brilliant service and for looking after me and my car 👍🏻) and as part of that service, they kindly hooked the car up to their workshop computer for free and changed the constant reverse BEEP BEEP BEEP to a single beep once reverse has been selected. And that’s it! Bliss! I can hear my parking sensors clearly now. So much better and much less of a distraction now.

I have a Auris TS Hybrid and mine is the same as yours. So just one single beep? That would be much better. I use Inchcape too, purchase and servicing, under service plan. Had no issues.👍 May get them to alter the beeping on mine! Mine is Icon plus, so no reversing sensors front or rear. Front would of been good.

James.👍
