Rear nearside door lock jammed

Anyone have any tips on how I'd go about investigating this? The lock is jammed and operate by remote, key or manually. The door lever has no effect and the locking pin won't move up or down. It's not a major inconvenience but I worry it might be an MOT fail

It will be an MOT fail, more than likely the child lock has got stuck, can you hear the lock when you press the key ?

I take it the internal and external handles do nothing ?

Thanks for the reply Bob. No the internal and external handles have no effect, and you can't hear or feel any 'pull', as if a connection has become detached. The only access point for the door internals I can see is a screw next to the internal handle, does this give access or is it just for trim?

You will have to get the door card off, to get inside the door what may involve removing the back seat
