Toyota Verso Parking Assist

Hello,

I recently bought a 2017 Toyota verso 1.8L automatic transmission, it comes with a rear camera but no front or rear parking sensors.

Is it possible to install the original parking assist system ? I've asked a Toyota dealer and they said it can be done, but the verso original sensors only beep and does not display the proximity, however in the car manual it mentions a display (which I could not confirm in any of the videos I found online).

Can someone please confirm to me which is correct ? Thanks.

As far as I'm aware, the dealer fit front/rear sensors will only give an audible warning.

There was a factory fit system that displayed the proximity but this isn't a retro fit option.

Theoretically, if you could find the part numbers of the modules, you might be able to fit them but the one part I'm not sure about is how to connect it all to the main computer and tell it that it is there so it uses it!

Might be able to do it via. e.g. Techstream but don't know of anyone who's done it, and I suspect the parts alone will be very very expensive!!

(Toyota prices are very reasonable for service parts and commonly replaced parts, but obscure things that aren't normally replaced, even stupid things like centre wheel caps, are often mind-bogglingly expensive!)

Are you referring to this ?

I am currently residing in France, as per the Toyota dealer here, the front parking sensors would cost €410 and €320 for the rear ones.
