Engine Rebuild

I am just having my engine rebuilt after a disaster with the water pump and timing belt. The mechanic who is doing the rebuild didn't dismantle the engine, another so called mechanic did that. Could anyone advise me as to where on the engine the two hose type pipes go this would greatly assist me. Many thanks
