When it is dark and you need to switch on interior light,the front lights from door coutesey lights do not show switches but if you use the light for sun visor make-up mirror which is under a  sliding shutter you can see switches to put on lighting without use of a torch.

One of the many quirks of the Corolla. 

Like not showing which tyre has a TPMS warning, while cars half the price even show the pressure per wheel.🤦‍♂️

I think they've done that on purpose. The sensors are no longer assigned to a particular position so that the wheels can be swapped round without having to reprogram. The car can't show you the pressure at each corner because it genuinely doesn't know which is which. It only knows what the 4 correct sensor values are as seen the  last time you reset the system from the car menu.

Toyota's biggest market is the US and folks there take tyre rotation far more seriously than we do in the UK.
