Auris 2009-2012 Brake hoses part numbers figured out, different flare

The Toyota parts catalog states two different OE numbers for all of the different brake hoses, with a reference to some sort of chassis code "*153" and "*154". There seems to be no obvious definite way of differentiating these, as even my Toyota dealership failed to offer me the parts based on VIN number. Seeing that the specifications listed for these differrent versions of brake hoses have only a minor variation in length, and some manufacturers even list one part as compatible with both versions, I took the chance of ordering what was available from I precieved to be quality brands (Bosch and Brembo), with a mix of the two series. Upon receiving the parts, it was clear that they had different seats for the brake line flares. This is for the four rear hoses (1+1+2), but I would assume it applies to the front as well.

*153 - brake hose OEN ending in W202x, has SAE flare seats

*154 - brake hose OEN ending in W201x, has what I assume to be DIN flare seats (funnels inwards into the brake hose)

Neither of the Brembo parts I ordered (inner rear hoses) had the correct OENs listed with regards to these findings. T83177 was listed as compatible with both 1x and 2x OEN versions, whereas the other, T83161 was listed as compatible with W2014, but had SAE seats. Therefore I would advise against ordering Brembo brake hoses until they fix their data. This also applies to Triscan which has the same part listed as compatible for both 1x and 2x. I ended up getting A.B.S. as replacements for the ones that had incorrect flares.

How to differentiate *153 and *154 without disconnecting a brake line? The other differences are related to the rear axle, back seats and the seat belt covers. For cars with back seat arm rest, the hinge appears to have a different design, with *153 having a cover over the hinge axle. In the parts catalog they are also listed with different part numbers for the plastic covers around the isofix anchor points on the back of the seats - these are relatively easy to remove to check the part numbers and they correctly matched with *153 for my car. The jack is also listed with different numbers, however in my case this one did not match *153. It is likely not reliable as it is not a fixed part of the car, and may have been replaced by a previous owner or even mixed and matched at the dealership. It would be nice with verification on wether the arm rest hinge and/or anchor point cover can be used to differentiate these for anyone planning on replacing brake lines and hoses, as the reason for doing so is typically that they are rusted, thus undoing a connection is likely not possible without damaging the brake line, thus putting the car off the road until parts arrive - or with a good return policy it may be easier just to order both variants and return those that have the wrong flare.
