Turbo problem

Hi all I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same issues I am.

I have 2016 deisel avensis 1.6 last week I went to start it from my work pulled away and got 4 yellow lights and a check handbrake warning.

Nothing wrong with the handbrake but car went into fail safe so lost the turbo.

Cleared the codes car runs fine at idle however when you drive it an alarm comes on about turbo over boost and handbrake.

Not sure where to look now currently checking for a vacuum leak any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Andy had the same problem with my avensis 1.6 2017 model, even Toyota dealership was unable to trace the problem. It was sorted by local mechanic as turbo hose pipe had a vaccum leak, its located under air filter box, so he replaced the black hose pipe and put a new steel clumps for good tightness, reset the codes and fingers cross its been more than year car runs like new car.
