I’ve driven past a few Corolla hb recently and noticed the fuel filler cap has a crease (as part of the body work) but it’s created stronger than the surrounding bodywork so whilst the bottom half is flush with the bodywork, the top half appears sunken

 is that regular?

 Why?

 Can it be fixed?

Oops, don’t know if can be adjusted, most likely yes but it will definitely fail Munro tests for gaps 🙂😉, just a joke. It should be way to adjust it even if only needs to be bent a bid by hand, old school factory doors adjustments. If it’s a new car best to compare with another same model and if it’s yours faulty you can request the dealer to get it fix under warranty.

Hmm, not really noticed .. will have a look at mine tomorrow

Whilst mine is a TS the pressed metal flap and hinge is very flimsy so easy to push it out of shape when closing it as there is no 'seat/seal' to close it against and nothing to hold it firmly in place.

There are a few flimsy components here and there. The front undertray is another one.
