Electronic brake

Hi I have just had a secondhand brake actuator fitted to my avensis. The brake works and will apply and release fine but the dashboard display still shows" check parking brake system" and the two yellow warning lights still show.

The garage have said it's because the part wasn't put in reset mode when removed. Is there a way to remove the warnings from my dashboard. The shift light is also lit .

It just needs re initializing (aka zero point calibration)

Try holding the EPB down for 15 sec's then up for 15 sec's

Hi tried this and it still doesn't clear the dashboard any other suggestions

Scan for codes and see what it comes up with

Thanks Flash22  the garage said they reset the machine and out the codes in but won't clear

Techstream is the only software (plus any other high level diagnostic), that may be able to reset and clear the warning lights.
