Retrofit auto wipers

Hi all

is it possible to retrofit auto wipers to the icon/icon tech?

Is the sensor already in the unit at the top of the windshield?

add a sensor?

replace the whole mirror unit?

just change the stalk?

I’m pretty sure this is next to impossible to retrofit. It’s most unlikely the sensor would be in place (cost saving) and the  controlling ECU would therefore not be set up for it. I’m afraid the days of adding in a missing electrical feature are long gone. The lack of other answers maybe backs up my conclusion.

Did some research and most places recommend using rainx or similar (aquapel does not come off apparently  - warning)
