Tyre pressure warning light on Rav4

Ive just had 2 tyres fitted on my 2013 Rav4 Invincible at a local garage and although I've checked all the tyre pressures, every time I start up the engine the tyre pressure warning light flashes and then stays on. How do I reset this or do I have to take it back to a Toyota Garage.

Thanks in advance for any help.

According to the owners manual, the warning light flashing for one minute and then staying on indicates a fault with the tyre pressure monitoring system. See page 620 of the attached owners manual.

Thanks for that. I was hoping there might just be a way of resetting it but I guess now. A trip to a Toyota garage for me I think unless anyone knows how I go about resetting it as I Cant seem to see anything obvious.

There is a tire pressure warning reset switch directly under the steering column (so not easy to see). With the tyres at the correct pressure and the ignition on, press and hold the switch to reset the system - the system then accepts the current pressures as correct. See page 554 of the manual at Mike's link above ...

But, unfortunately, the other possibility is that one on the TPMS valves was damaged when your tyres were replaced and the fault is being indicated as Mike says above. In which case you will need to replace the faulty / damaged TPMS valve. A visit to the dealer would be the easiest way to diagnose the problem here.

Brilliant, thank you. I will check this out and hopefully that will reset it. Thanks to you and Mike
