Head Unit

hey guys, how do i take out my standard head unit?

its just i cant see the slots or anything :wacko:

Off the top of my head............clip off the leather gear stick surround, then un-clip the plastic one that that has come apart off, then take out the ash tray (just pulls up) then 2 screws were the dash meets under the steering wheel...once there off just pull down to un clip that...then that whole plastic surround around the hhead unit clips off.....un-plug the hazard lights & lighter then the screws are all obvious :)

under the stock stereo u got that black box with toyota writtern on it, will my cd player fit in above it like the stock one?

Should do.......it's a standard size din :)

Iv'e had a Panasonic & now a Pioneer unit in mine top slot.

cheers, pulled all my dash out it fits fine..just gotta get a lead to adapt the wire connections

sweet...was it much like I said?? your not gonna attempt a re-wire yourself without a loom?? B)

Just last weekend me and a mate installed almost all my sounds....he soldered virtually every connection, did a MINT job.

no i wont attempt to wire it lol! i make a rite mess, going to go to Halfords and buy them converters...only cost a tenner. cheers
