Key Dismantling ??

I have a Auris on a 2013 plate. Both keys now fail to 'spring out' when I press the release button. I can easily get the Battery cover off but can the rest of the key be dismantled to clear out all the gunk in the mechanism. It all seems very tight and I fear I may destroy the mouldings and inner electrics if I try too hard.

I found a 'spudger' kit most useful for all these sort of things. Available quite cheaply from that well known auction site.
