Problem Or Just Something Odd

When i sometimes go rather fast on the motorway or dual carrageway and i come back the engine light sometimes shows up next to the oil light on the bottom right hand corner of the dash. Thing is it doesnt always happen and ive been doing local driving for hrs and nothing shows up , also if i switch the ignition off leave it for 5mins and start up the engine light is gone. Ive even done a quick restart and the engine light doesnt show up, but once the engine light shows up when i come back from a motorway trip it wont go unless i turn engine off.

what could it be?

Something is wrong .. check your ECU codes ..

bah i thought i sorted it , ive got a problem with the engine cooling fan not coming on

which is pumping hot air into the turbo.
