Suspension arm / wishbone bolts for 2005 Corolla 1.4 petrol VVTI _e12_

Hi,

Back under my daughters car again (covering face with hands in despair). Hope I'm explaining this clearly enough.

There was some play with one of the lower wishbones causing the steering to feel quite slack. Bushes on both sides not in good shape.

I purchased a pair online with bushes fitted however the bolts were not included.

After replacing the offside last week without too much hassle, it feels much better.

I started on the nearside today and the bolts are stuck to the bushes, and the bushes are spinning in the old arm when I try to turn the bolts. This is happening for both the front and rear bolts, although the rear is almost clear, the front is totally stuck. As I try to undo the bolt, the bush moves inside the arm, and wedges up agains the front of the subframe socket its housed in, jamming it up before i can free the threads from the other side. I can pretty much turn them by hand but have been trying to extract them for the last 6 hours with wd40, jacking the arm to release pressure, to blowtorching the rubber after moving the driveshaft out of the way so I dont melt the boot. The blowtorch just made it worse by freeing the bush from the arm itself.

I'm coming to the conclusion I'm going to have to cut the bolts, so hunting about for new ones online without luck. The new arms came without replacement bolts.

Can someone direct me to the correct bolts for the front and back bushes please?

I've seen a few on eBay but so far none that fit this vehicle.

Thanks in advance,

Al.

Hi,

you can look here on this website

https://japancars.ru/index.php?route=catalog/toyota&mdf_id=11941&area=EU&cat=153550&blk_id=4802

and find any part you are after your car. If I am correct the bolts you need are these 90119-14086

you can try searching in eBay or Google and something will come up. Or perhaps call the local dealer.

Its probably worthwhile ordering them from your local Toyota dealer as they are a specific pattern and tensile strength.
