Ok, I've got a sweet Momo race wheel in black and leather, but can I fit it to the Yaris? I know I'm going to lose my airbag, but where the heck can I find a boss kit for it??

Might be worth checking with your insurance company first to see what they say about loosing air bags - just a thought

MOMO have a boss for toyotas. thats what mine is. could try DT like jaxx suggested.

I told my insurance that i had made (interior changes) so if they try to put up a fight if the worst happens i have something to come back at them with. PLUS i got harnesses so i cant really see me needing an airbag anymore

If you know any paramedics or firefighters, ask how much they like airbags! ;)

"They only go off half the time, when they do they cause damage, when they don't it's like working with an unexploded bomb"

Imagine having a fireman cutting you out of a wreck, and the airbag goes off while his helmet's in front of your face... somebody died like that last month!

It's not a be-all end-all argument, but it IS scary!

They're on. But they're mucky.

They're 'kin light as well, even compared to the OZs. Bloke that fitted'em won the Fiesta Cup last year, and is racing at Donington tomorrow. He couldn't believe the price I paid for'em. He says to buy all the wheels you can and flog'em for £250 a set to the MX5 championship racers... :o

These are available to the Emergency Services:

The Pro Shield is quickly installed to guard both patient and rescuer from undischarged airbags.

The Pro Shield's bag tearing studs shred the airbag on contact which rapidly dissipates the hot gases that deploy the airbag.
