Well that is one more report of a failure rather than multiple as the first post suggests.

The good/bad section of the Honest John review doesn't show any - https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/toyota/yaris-2020/good

I wonder what they mean because the Yaris Hybrid doesn't *have* a gearbox!

Gearbox needs replacement because fault with the brakes is the strangest and most unusual description of a car problem that I have ever come across,👍

A case of it not being explained by the dealer correctly or the dealer doesn't know what they are talking about or both, one of 2 possible issues DCM fault makes the car light up like a Christmas tree with various warnings and kills the car or the Inverter has failed as per the other thread - if the car looses power, the servo/brake pump will stop hence the brake warning

there is a slim chance that the damper plate has failed

edit. Handbrake coming on at speed is dealer BS as it's speed dependent and has a fail-safe

I had an even better excuse from my garage for a hybrid failure. After four weeks of investigation, and stripping the car to pieces, they insinuated I had caused the failure by removing a fuse. Even after I had pointed them to the recall letter I had received for the Skid Control ECU reprogramming!
