Is This Bad?

Had my car serviced a couple of days ago and they gave me this sheet which is called a Visual safety report/estimate! On it there is a line sayin that my "front anti roll bar bushes are starting to split on both sides"!

Is this in need of urgent attention? How much will it cost 2 put rite and how have I caused them 2 split or is it just a wear and tear issue? My car has done 40k miles btw!

Any responses welcomed!

Cheers

urgent? no

Your car will just start to feel 'floaty' the worse they get..

even if theyre gone, the car will still be driveable (just take it easy on bends)

but worth getting fixed mate

My last car needed its rear axle bushes done at about 40,000 miles, but it was still less than 3 years old so it was done under warranty. It took them about a morning to do it.

It had had a couple of knocks (slid off a 3 foot drop at one point) so I thought its wear might have been accelerated by that...

It certainly made a small difference to the feel of the car.
