A good service certainly makes a car feel like it drives better.

Sounds odd, but a good service especially Oil & Filter change DOES make the car zippy-er.

I had several people came back to me and said that their car picked up much faster in acceleration after the oil change that I performed on their vehicle.

What's common among these people is the fact that "they rarely service their car."

So its like: Dirty oil and filter reduce the car's performance.  After the oil and filter changed, it restores the car back into its former glory.  (Obviously, for someone who changed oil and filter regularly can hardly feel the differences before and after.)

I always enjoy this feeling after I leave the garage after my yearly oil change, last time done at 8000 km / 5000 miles.

But the wow feeling is kind of limited to this first ride after oil change.
