1995 Granvia 3.0 alternator type.

Good morning everyone.

I’d like to introduce myself as a new member, and it is quite likely this topic has been covered before, so apologies in advance if this is the case.

I’ve just joined the owner’s club, and I need your help and expertise as I’m a little bit confused.

I have recently bought a Granvia campervan conversion. It’s a fabulous vehicle to drive, but I’ve just found out the alternator is draining the power from my Battery after switching the engine off. The Battery is completely flat if I leave it overnight.

I’ve been told I by an auto electrician I need to replace the alternator, but I have no idea which one to purchase, or the best place to get it from.

When I type in the reg. no. N434MAF, it tells me it’s a 3.0 TDi. As it’s not a cheap item to replace, I want to ensure I buy the right one. Is there a part no. located anywhere visible on the alternator that I can use to order the correct part?

Also, are there different alternators depending on engine, as I’m not sure what difference (if any) there is between the 3.0 TD or the TDi engines.

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

Suggest putting your frame number into toyodiy and finding the actual part number that relates to your vehicle.

I’ve  used that link thanks, located the part, confirmed it’s the part I need,  ordered one and being delivered tomorrow 24/12/21 from a supplier. All done in 1 day. Amazing.
