My dealer has just let me know that my Corolla 1.8 Hatch which I ordered on 2nd Nov, has just started build, and will delivered mid March. They also confirmed that the car will be equipped with the new spec multimedia system, which is great news.

I doubt it’s started build. It takes less than a day to assemble a new car. You have probably had confirmation from the dealer that your build has been confirmed to the 2022 new specification and estimated delivery in March?

I understand your logic. The MyT app reports build started as well- but that may just mean that they have started parts collection or procurement. The key thing is that it would seem orders placed in November (or maybe even before) will be built to the new spec. Good news !

If My T says it started, then I has started and could even be completed? The "started build status" will continue until you get the left the factory status.

I ordered a 2.0 same week as yourself so I’m hoping I hear soon that my order has started
