Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 Heater Malfunction

Hi,

My brother has a 2005 1.3 VVT-i T Spirit 5d Auto.

Since UK has moved to E10 fuel his Engine light keeps coming on and the ODB ready is telling us the O2 sensor is gone, but we got it replaced by our local garage with a 3rd party replacement part and it's still popping up with the same error

Our mechanic suggested getting an original Toyota replacement part for it, but i wanted to see if any one else has seen this issue or it could be something to do with the new E10 fuel type.

Apologies is this is already raised, i did try searching for it but didn't seen anything here, hence creating the new post

Thanks in advance for any replies!

N

Check bank1 sensor 2 with a meter

What are the voltages from the sensors with the engine up to temp

The daughters car was doing this, they changed both lamba sensors being the cheapest option but it turned out the be the more expensive option the cat was at fault.

Was the correct sensor fitted ? Denso DOX-0257 is the correct oem sensor

I'm not sure,  but other mechanic suggest getting an original part, so I called Toyota to get the exact part/number but they would only give me a quote of £174.  I'm guessing what you've mentioned here is the original part I need to try!

I see that online for more than half the price of Toyota

Thanks
