Getting the best from LPG

Hi - I've recently bought a Toyota Alphard which has been converted into a campervan. I opted for the LPG tank as an addition. Early days - so any advice on when to switch from petrol to LPG would be much appreciated from other more experienced owners.... Thank you!

Hi Liz,

You shouldn't need to know when to switch to LPG, it should do all the switching itself automatically. You will always have the option of switching whenever you want but you should never have to touch the switch... You should be able to leave it in automatic mode and in automatic mode it will start on petrol when the engine is cold, switch to LPG when the engine is warm enough (maybe a minute in this recent cold weather) and if you ever run out of LPG it should switch back to petrol, all automatically and seamlessly
