Leather Steering Wheel

Hi folks,

As the weather gets warmer I've noticed that my standard T3 placcy steering wheel can become quite hot, sweaty and uncomfortable on long journeys.

So... do any of you know how expensive a Toyota leather steering wheel/steering wheel rim is and roughly how difficult/expensive fitting it is?

I would fit it myself if possible, but I'm a bit wary of mucking about with something containing an airbag!

Cheers,

Alan

Yeah, that's a lot of money. I'll stick with my two-tone grey one. 'Tis leather though.

Look on the bright side, Alan. How much more Summer can we have? ;)

mine came with the leather steering wheel. The yaris verso i drove for work had the plastic as well as the gear stick. Leather is soooo much nicer, makes a big difference aswell imho. If you have the option id definetly change it to leather

I got one from motorworld tailor-made for the outside of the steering wheel. It was a simoni one and it came in whatever colour ur car is with the black underneath.Only prob is u have to stitch the leather on urself which takes time and is a little tidious but the end result is worth it :D instructions are included with it

What about a leather cover as a temporary measure?

Oh please! T.v.o.r, I might as well just get a pair of those string-backed driving gloves and be done with it!

500-quid is also quite a lot of money that I don't really have at the minute :( I might work my way round to justifying it given the length of time I spend in the car though.....

Have to think about this one ;)

Cheers though folks,

A
