2017 Rav 4 sat nav problems

Booked car in for a SAT NAV update and now things are much worse. On regularly used routes it is taking us down No Through roads, bus lanes and generally getting us lost, whereas it didn't before. The auto lights are also now coming on randomly during bright sunlight? It has already been back once and now going back again tomorrow. If no joy thinking about asking them to reset the SAT NAV back to where it was plus a refund or pushing for a replacement unit on the warranty. Any thoughts or similar experiences to share would be greatly appreciated.
