Infotainment For Toyota Aygo 2018

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2018 Toyota Aygo with the standard radio/multimedia screen. I'd like to upgrade this to a newer infotainment system with GPS and/or ability to project my mobile screen onto the car screen via bluetooth. Any recommendations?

A few members have upgrade their X-Touch multimedia unit to the Apple Carplay/Android Auto compatible unit from the facelift Aygo - identified by having three buttons on the front rather than two - which they can use for navigation. 

There are various topics on this in the Aygo club - eg.

Thanks. I've seen these posts, but unfortunately, they aren't very helpful to me. Try as I might, I just can't find specs for the unit 86140-YV010, I don't seem to be able to find such a new unit from a reputable seller, only second hand units from little known (or at least, unknown to me) sources. 

Any ideas about where I can get a new unit, which will fit my 2018 model?

To be honest a new X-Touch unit would be expensive. A third party replacement from a reputable manufacturer would be more cost effective.

The newer unit has CarPlay & Android Auto so it doesn't have it's own GPS.

Second hand 3 button genuine units are often seen on a well known auction website and also often available from Small Cars R Us Ltd

A genuine 3 button unit is plug'n'play so will be easier to fit than any aftermarket unit.

86140-YV010 does NOT have DAB as such you rarely see them in the UK spec cars

86140-YV020 Has DAB as fitted to most late UK Aygos (optional on some)

Be aware CarPlay or Android Auto use a cable (tethered) unless you use an aftermarket wireless adapter

 

Your other option is to fit the X-nav upgrade to the X touch you can find these new (£320) or used (£120-200)

Make sure you get a reasonably up-to-date micro SD card with the maps on.
