Toyota plan to refurbish ex-customer Kinto vehicles at Burnaston

Autocar - Toyota will begin comprehensively refreshing  ex-customer cars at its UK manufacturing facility to add value to its vehicles throughout their life cycles.

As part of it's new fleet focused Kinto mobility sub-brand, Toyota will refurbish used Battery electric vehicles at Burnaston initially after the first usage cycle (eg. a typical lease contract). Toyota will take vehicles back to the factory and refurbish them to the highest standard to ensure the second user has as new a vehicle as possible. This could be extended to the second and third usage cycle.

The first vehicle to benefit will be the bZ4X.

Ford and Vauxhall have operated similar programmes for a number of years, where ex-fleet and lease cars have been refurbished (eg: Ford - ex-AA driving school cars;  Vauxhall - ex-BSM cars) and then sold through their used car programmes (eg. Vauxhalls's Network Q).
