66 reg hybrid - Faulty touchscreen

2016 RAV4 Hybrid:

Back in October I had to have a new 12v Battery fitted by the dealer because the old one was faulty (starting issues).

Since then I have on two occasions attempted to use the satnav but it keeps requesting the country code and will not accept anything else - previously input or new postcodes.

Just had a more thorough check and it appears to be the touch screen that’s at fault.
Some points are very insensitive to touch and some letters when pressed (satnav) select the letter above.

surprise surprise it’s not covered under RELAX warranty!

Has anyone else experienced this?

does the touch screen work ok when using the radio and other screens ?

you could try the sat nav reset in the 3rd hidden menu

Settings (button) - General - Volume

Press middle - top, middle - top, middle - middle, top  *as circled*

When you use the nav, it actually switches to the extension module (Nav), so if it's only the nav having the issue, the touch screen is ok

Have you asked the dealer if they know the code or can they find it out?
