I've put in a new Battery and still no light on the fob. Dealer states £157.00 for a new fob and £80.00 coding charge 😕

Can I use a fob from a scrapped Avensis at a car breakers and just get it re-coded at the dealers?

i seen a few fobs on eBay and well id say should work  but when changing over the circuit from the eBay working one r if scrap yard have the exact one and price is good u could change over the remote insides over just be very carefully about a small piece of glass or sometimes its plastic the transponder chip you dont loose it or break it as its used to start the car

Hi Joe, many thanks for the response. I found a local car key company that fixed it for me for a very cheap price! I was astounded by them. The innards had died, there was a microswitch missing, button cover missing. They fixed it for me for a very good price. I am so pleased, it looks brand new and I am not cringing every time I unlock the car! Now I can use all the buttons 🙂
