EPB Locked on

Hi 

My EPB has locked on mid journey, thankfully all ok.  The handbrake inoperable message has come up, garage I was recovered to can't get the epb to release using their diagnosic to move the  car to check under it.  They are suggesting it goes to Toyota to unlock the rear calipers, does anyone have any suggestions before I call the main dealer?

Lift the boot carpet there is a manual release, it requires 400-600 rotations according to others on here

Page 685 I suggest a hex bit and Battery drill otherwise it may take a day and a dead arm or 2

Just by way of an update I'm back on the road after winding the calipers back, just waiting on a full diagnostic. I had to drive through a deep puddle a few weeks ago so I'm hoping its not water thats made it into the actuator and its only a fault in the caliper pin but time will tell.
