Dash cam

Wiring new Garmin dash cam to my 2019 Corolla touring sport  which requires permanent live supply. 

One option, not the cheapest would be use of the OBD2 socket.  Has anyone done this and is it suitable/ practical.

the car has quite a small 12 v Battery

Has anyone with hatch back and a pan roof managed to get a cable to the rear for a Dashcam through the headining?

Yes I did. No issues

There has been advice to be careful to use properly insulated cables to avoid the dab radio having issues
