Is it possible at all to have the park assistant re-calibrated? Mine seems to be a foot out (always curbs it). Tried this in various places now and the same issue every time (when parallel parking). Is this something that can be looked at?

Same here...Reading a few threads seems earlier corolla worked fine, but later ones just get it wrong. One of the most useful features on my two auris and worked perfectly. I almost wonder if they made it simpler. I notice if I shift to D it still happily steers. Almost like it wants to shuffle in with a bit of help. Unfortunately I've yet to find a space where I have enough time to experiment.

My doctors surgery is a good place for several reasons 😁

Tried it on my dealers forecourt, scared me witless. All I could see was this car, broadside on, looming in my rear view mirror.

When my rear bumper was damaged last year one of the costliest items was apparently recalibration of the parking sensors by the Toyota approved body shop. I would therefore conclude this should be possible. The question I would have is why yours is out of calibration? If you can show to the dealer that it does not park correctly then surely this could be a warranty claim as maybe it was never set up n the first place?

I've never used the parallel parking but I have noticed a glitch on the reverse in feature. In a car park with very narrow lanes it will sometimes set off forward in a straight line as if it's trying to find somewhere with enough room for it start the manoeuvre. Very strange.

I have had Park Assist on my last two cars but it is not something I use.  I tried it in both cars to see if it works and it does but the end result was always the same, parked too far away from the kerb so I don't bother using it.

Iv'e never used the park assist to parallel park. Reversed parked plenty of times and love it.
