Hi all. this is a first time for me here so I'll try to keep it short and sweet. Basically just bought a J plate Estima Emina x and so am gradually finding my way around it, but found that the radio tuning range is way out from the uk range (presumably set for Japanese). Is there a way of adjusting or converting this or is it time for a new unit? I've heard talk of these band expanders; are they any good? Would appreciate any advice, and many thanks upfront. Cheers, Steve.

You'll either have to buy a channel expander or change the head unit for a UK spec one. The expander is obviously the cheaper option, elite international for example do them for about £15. Check out their site here http://www.eliteinternational.co.uk/

What I did to mine is chage the HU rather than expand it. I got myself a "honda" HU and works fine! cheers!

Hi, am also new in this forum. Mine is an Emina 93 2.2TD. Got mine without a stereo and really looking all over the place for an original unit, though I know the radio has limited channels. My option is to install a new HU. I got a spare Honda HU from my Civic (FujitsuTen) and a it's a bit encouraging as the Emina has been left with a 12-CD changer branded FujitsuTen as well. My problem is how to connect the wires. Thanks in advance.

BTW, "chitorb", I surely will appreciate if I can reach you by e-mail, please. Ty.

Hi "Tukayong" Chito,

Your 12CD changer should have the connector to your HU... this if your Fujitsuten HU has a CD ready and there must be input female connector.

You can email me at lrbognot@west.com. Is your ride Emina or Lucida?
