Loose Lead under bonnet following MOT

Not posted here before, but wondered if anyone on here could help me with something?  Troubleshooting windshield wipers not working on my 2013 Yaris, and found a lead disconnected under the bonnet. It’s only been a few days since taking it for its MOT, which it passed (eventually).  Had a look around, but Was unable to see any evident empty socket that a lead should be plugged into.  It’s got a couple of clip-like bits attached to the cable which look like they should secure the cable to something.

Anyone recognise the loose lead in the photo, and be able to advise where it should be plugged into?

What issues did you have with the MOT - did you have it serviced ?

Yes, that plug is for the wiper motor, don't know why it's under the cover tho, you should be able to lift the flap on the scuttle trim and route it back

Bob beat me to it. I was going to suggest wiper motor supply. It does disappear under the scuttle trim. Pic. of my car.

Your oil filler cap would seriously trouble my o.c.d. Eamonn,it's upside down!

That cable rubbing against the fuse box would bother my OCD also. 🥴😬

No different to when a French person routed it, new. It's in a conduit anyway. No way to route it otherwise, no excess length. I'm sure there are many other cables run in conduit that are "rubbing" on something or each other.

I’m not saying it’s routed incorrectly, simply stating it would bother me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mine routes up the back side/edge of the fuse box - did a fluids check and topped up the washer bottle this afternoon

I'm finding the washer fluid cap a bit unsettling too.
