Rubber Floor Mats purchase

I wanted some rubber interior mats for my 2013 (non-hybrid) Auris and was put off by the sixty quid plus dealer price, but  I found some good value ones on eBay for £24.

These are well made with edge binding and fitted perfectly, including the drivers side into the floor clips. They also have sets of four for other Toyota models.

Worth a look if you are seeking similar.

Yep, I got something similar for my Prius. For the rear, it was one piece all the way across.  Cost me though, the wife saw mine and I had to get a set for her Auris hybrid.  They wear well too.

The original one will be the best and I believe Toyota use to have them on sale on eBay previously, not sure if they still offer them, I had used different ones and found the oem carpet matts the best of all, and of course the longer lasting ones, likely this applies to the rubber matts too.  👍

In reply to Peter's question, I would say they are certainly of reasonable quality. They have 'substance' as each one feels quite heavy for its size.

I too read some of the feedback negative comments about them, but took into account what my usage will be. Being retired and not doing a very large annual mileage I felt they should do the trick - I was more interested in just keeping the footwells clean as it's a bit muddy here in the winter. No doubt if they were being used in a van or a car where the driver was constantly in and out, then that may be a different case. Some comments were about the fit, but mine fitted perfectly and were exactly the same sizes when placed against my original Toyota carpet over mats.

There were also some comments about the smell of them - being too 'rubbery'. Yes, they initially smell a bit strong ,and it takes a little while before it noticeably fades, but as most rubber mats do to some extent it didn't put me off.

I agree with Tony that the original ones are probably the best, and I was tempted at buying some on the eBay Toyota outlet, but the money saved from the ones I purchased nearly covered the cost of a set of four 'kick plates' to protect the paint on my Auris. Will let you all know later how they worked out when I've fitted them.
