Oirish market has non-hybrid Yaris, looks like you ordered the Luna Sport, or something like it ? It's the step up from basic with most of the goodies? doesn't look like it has the parking sensors, though.

Interestingly, the pure white option is extra cost in Ireland, it's the base colour in France, and there's a sort of powder blue available, too which we can't get. As noted, the Hybrid badge only appear on the tailgate, and to the right, and not at all on the wings - contrary to the Yaris III.

Peter this is the correct spelling (IRISH)!!!. I have looked recently and unless I’m mistaken and it has changed very recently White is one of the two basic paint colours, and you are correct in Ireland they still offer a petrol Yaris.

Yes I have just looked Peter and they now only offer one standard paint and white is now a metallic option.

Apology accepted and it’s now forgotten.

My new Yaris Hybrid has arrived at the dealership. I now await a collection date, and they have agreed to transfer the dash cams to the new Yaris Hybrid.

Picked up the new Yaris Hybrid today, the dealership still moaning about having to transfer the dash cams 😂, but they did do it, because I would have walked away and he knew that. Behind his bluster he’s ok, and while they were doing it he gave me a courtesy car to go away doing some shopping and have lunch 👏👏. I did notice that Toyota have removed the Hybrid badges from the sides of the car, but still retained the one on the back of the car. I also see the Silver colour is a slightly darker shade, now Atomic Silver. It’s a really nice colour, and I hope to post a couple of pictures whenever it stops raining, I’m not holding my breath on that one 🤔

Glad to hear you've picked up your new Yaris. We still have a way to go before the good Lady gets hers.

Thanks Bob, to paraphrase the great Irish poet, “time comes dropping slow”. I think the actual wording in the poem is “Peace comes dropping slow”. It’s in the poem Lake Isle of Innisfree.

You should have kept the old one too and auctioned it off to desperate TOC members

Be interested to hear what the differences are!

Now there’s a thought 😝. Apart from the removal of the side badges I didn’t notice any differences on my 24 mile journey home, oh, and the slightly darker shade of Silver. On first inspection couldn’t see anything else.

The 2020 Yaris IV had the hybrid badges on the wings ?

Yes Peter they had nice blue & chrome coloured badges on both wings and they looked very well, but were a little bit fiddly when polishing removing the haze between the lettering. Perhaps another way of Toyota saving a few pennies 🤔

MY 21 was already like that. I checked MY20 LHD and they have the two badges on the wings, the car must go faster without the wing mounted hybrid badges 😉 Less drag, and lower weight !
