Gt4 Spoilers

I have a GT4 spoiler on my ST and it is so heavy that every time i need to open my boot i have to use the key because when i use the pull lever under my seat it will open but still catches.

Does this happen on GT4's?

Do i need a GT4 lock that has a stronger spring?

Chances are the rubbers are missing or perished. There are rubber blocks which push against the door and when you close the boot they compress.

Once you flick the boot release the rubber pushes up and back towards the original shape thus making the boot open slightly.

Check these first as its unlikely that the spoiler is too heavy for the boot.

When i pull the boot release the boot pops up and i call put my fingers in under the boot and rock it up and down slighty. I need to use the key to release it further.

Will check, maybe the lock can be lowered!
