When locked with one lock push of the fob for my 2003 rav 4, the alarm goes off at random intervals of some hours.

I can lock the system with three button pushes with no problems so think the problem is with the cabin movement sensor on my factory alarm.

How can I either turn the alarm system permanently off  or turn the cabin sensor off or to be less sensitive.

Where is the alarm sensor anyway to turn it off, I can not find it behind the glovebox where it is supposed to be according to some forum replies.

Until a couple of weeks ago the alarm system has worked fine for many years .

Thanks

Matty

Many possible causes, but one is the interior sensors being triggered by a wandering insect.  If you can switch off the interior sensor, that may "fix" it, until you can eliminate the insect.
