Connection between MyT and car battery discharge?

I'm looking for a connection between discharging the car Battery and the Toyota MyT satellite system.
If a sufficient number of users are involved - we will know the result of the survey.

You need 2 more options: I'm not using MyT and don't have any problems and I'm not using MyT and I have problem!

I've carried out Battery draw tests on my Corolla and observed no effect as a result of using the app. I even tried putting my phone in airplane mode, made no difference.  As far as my car goes, there's nothing you can do from the app that requires it to remain in contact with the car, no flash headlights or start the ventilation etc like some cars have. I believe the car just reports its location and door lock status to the Toyota server, then goes to sleep until it's next woken up by the key fob.

My car also has keyless entry and I found that does increase the Battery drain by roughly a third, although it should automatically turn off after a week of inactivity, to save energy.

This may be a red herring but the first time (and only time so far) in 12 months I had a flat Battery was one week after the 'Ecall' module was replaced under warranty as part of a Toyota recall. During the previous 12 months the My T app was non functional but since the Ecall was fixed the My T gizmo works. Although at one time it was connected to a vehicle not even belonging to me ... crazy or what.

Has anyone measured the quiescent current on a Mk4 with a working My T system or even without one ?

I may get round to measuring it myself if the problem persists but Battery location makes it a pain.

Has any one else experienced depleted 12 v Battery after the 'Ecall' recall ?
