Hi All,

I put an order in last week for a Corolla Touring Sports GR Sport in Obsidian Blue, although can't decided whether or not to change it to Manhattan Grey.

You may be surprised to here my previous car was a Puma ST, with every option under the sun ticked, and I loved that car, however, whilst it will never be a frugal car, I've seen better MPG in V8s! Some man maths, followed by a gander on CarWow = sensible head on.

I worked out that on real world MPG that the corolla would save me £126 every 300 miles! Which is eye watering when you consider I do/did about 900 miles a month! That coupled with the fact the car is £150 cheaper a month, it's a no brainer.

That being said, after going for a test drive in both the hatch and the estate, I was pleasantly surprised at the pick up and poke, so I've got the power if I need it.

Got a cracking deal and pretty shocked at the price difference considering my Puma almost the same price as the Corolla, yet was £150 more a month!

Puma is now sold, and we're a single car household for a bit until I nab myself a cheap run around until July, which is the current EDD.

Welcome, I'm actually visiting north Wales for a week in the 3rd week of May this year, in time hopefully for bodnant garden laburnum arch bloom. Staying in Corwen.

I should be ordering the 2.0 excel Hb with JBL and pan roof in a few months time, standard white. Have a Yaris MK3 hybrid atm, so it's going to be noisy engine for the most part of the 1k miles that I will probably cover in a week in Wales. Need better handling, more power than the Yaris, less engine noise for these long trips that I do each year.

The puma sounds expensive to run, Toyota is always great though.

Welcome to the TOC forum Nath, when you get your new car you can visit the Ponderosa in the background and take Big Hoss out for a spin.😄😏

By the time my new car arrives the new speed limit will be introduced! And you guessed it, eyesore average speed camera's will be making an appearance!
Hopefully, not too near the cafe, or they'll ruin my shot 😋
