Airbag removal to replace clock spring, TR D-4D 2006

Good day, All. Can anyone kindly inform me as to how to remove the airbag module in order to access/replace the clock spring, please?

On the left-rear of the steering wheel there looks to be an access panel; on the corresponding right-rear we have a similar thing but it's occupied by a control stick. Are these the means to open it up (I can see no other screws or anything); if so, what is the method? Any assistance would be most appreciated - many thanks in advance. :-)
