Hi,

For some reason i have lost all the lines on the reversing camera, it shows a picture but the lines and the touch buttons have disappeared. been to dealer and they are not sure why or how to fix it

we have gone into the secret menu but reversing camera button is not there so cant calibrate the dynamic lines. only thing we did see was in faults it says CAA nocon (in red) but not sure what CAA s

Any Ideas.

Cheers

Clarion do a reversing camera which I think is a CCA and the neocon sounds like no connection, pure guess?

thanks ernieb, its a brand new car and the dealer put in a Nextbase rear window camera yesterday so not sure what's happened. i agree its probably no connection but what is the CAA stand for. Dealer is stumped and contacting Toyota but cant see any reason it has happened and don't want to reset fault menu myself.

Cheers

Pure assumption here, no technical knowledge.

Could it be the connection to the steering input which controls the moving lines on the screen? CCA being something like Course Correction Assist or Cornering Course Assist. Purely guesses.

Just checked mine for you and the camera setting option is definitely there in the diagnostics menu. Mine's a PHEV too.

@ernieb you asked in another thread about being able to centre the camera in there. It's looks like you can. When you have gone into camera settings on the initial button, another screen displays with two greyed out buttons that don't appear to work. You just have to press and hold the button then keep clicking through the pages. I haven't tried it as I'm happy with mine and didn't want to mess it up.

I read somewhere last night that it is quite common after a Battery interruption to lose the dynamic lines. Maybe they disconnected the power when fitting your Dashcam. It's probably different to your issue though because it sounds like you've lost all the lines.

The solution they suggested didn't require going into the diagnostic menu, they just put it in reverse, turned the steering wheel all the way one way, then all the way the other way and the yellow lines reappeared. Like I say, sounds like the symptoms are different but might be worth a try on the off chance.

I have the same problem with the dealership just shrugging their shoulders. I have tried every google suggested fix with no luck. I have had to make an appt with dealer to officially drop it off for service. I have a 2022 RAV4 Hybrid SE that I purchased in January. Thanks for posting.
