Fuel consumption avensis 2litre 2012

I have a Toyota  Avensis 2ltr diesel  2012 The official figures show that it can achieve 55miles per gallon urban. But am only achieving almost half of the official figures shown I am doing about 450 or less to a full tank. I have always used premium diesel for my cars .Should this be a fault in the fuel system that needs attention or it's the actual consumption

On the contrary.Previously I had the same man &model but 2006 plate This car used to give me 700miles to the gallon whether urban or combined.The newer has to be better but it does look that way.

im getting the same like yours always way under 500miles a full tank of diesel  mine is 2014 2.0 car  anyways same like you 450 r maybe 460 to a full tank

The official figures are produced using a laboratory based testing regime which is not intended to represent what may be achieved in the real world. The figures are intended to provide a standard comparison between models.

well tbh i was on there and posted what i was getting think was 36mpg tbh
