Auris 2018 - Strange electrical noise and increased resistance from steering wheel

Auris 2018.

Strange electrical noise coming from the dashboard during the rotation of the steering wheel. 

Increased resistance is felt in the steering wheel during the noise. 

This is happening once every few days, especially in the first drive of the day. 

No warning light is on.

Does anyone have an idea of what can be the cause for this?

Never heard that on either of my auris....not sure what trim you have, but do you have the park assist and does it still work? It's almost like an issue with that or being electric power steering, an issue there. But guessing at most obvious...either power assistance is reducing hence feeling more resistance or something is pushing back (I would guess former more likely as the motors should be inhibited in normal driving)

It sounds like Toyota warranty repair to me, faulty electric motor or something around it. Best to get it checked in a dealer., or wait until warning lights comes on and go for diagnostic.
