Oil filter part number

I've continued to use Castrol edge pro oil for the car and want to buy original oil filter for it, i don't have the part number as i have a mann filter on at the moment. Its a avensis mk2 2l petrol auto engine.

Have you tried eBay for complete service kit for your car, original Toyota engine oil, engine oil filter, air filter. On eBay is Snows Toyota Exeter I think. I bought my genuine oiled filer for 2010 Auris hybrid off them, very quick service.

Sounds good Catlover and probably something i will do after this service as i already bought the oil.  Rang toyota about the filter but they will not share the part number.

How much would your Toyota dealer charge you ?

Around £13 but it would cost £10 to get there

Check again. I've definitely found it for mk2.

I've just double checked, it also fits the 2L mk1.

Personally, I wouldn't bother getting a genuine Toyota filter.

Most sellers on eBay are asking for reg and vin number before they send, just to make sure it’s the right one. Is your seller not asking that?

You may find it's 10-15mm longer, but it all crosses over, so not an issue

I used the same part on my Corolla. It was exactly the same as the factory original one in every detail apart from the number stamped on it. I believe the ones ending in 1000x are only available to the factories, whereas the over-the-counter equivalent will be a YZZ part. Several different part numbers exist for the same filter, it seems a bit daft.

Going to need a sump plug washer so I have decided to buy ten at a time. 
on Amazon they have the 12 mm aluminium some plug gaskets.
